At post-graduate level, apart from philosophical, sociological and psychological bases of education, methodology of educational research and statistics form an important part of curriculum. Students are acquainted with types of research, designing research proposal, construction of tools and methods of executing research. Conducting research and writing dissertation in any area of study, enables the student to develop technical skills needed for research and a new vision and sensitivity to problems and their identification.
In order to give a wide spectrum of study and undertaking research, students offer four foundation courses, two specialization out of 4 options and a dissertation work. They can plan their dissertation on any problem in an area of their interest. In view of the fact that M.Ed. students are to become teacher educators, they are given an opportunity to get training for supervisory practice – teaching classes under the guidance of teacher educators of the college. This practice, which is being followed for the last two years, as yield it good results.
