Centre for Innovations, Research and Development (CIRD)
In order to make new experiments in the field of teacher education, conducting researches at the grass roots level and development of print material, the Institute has established a Centre for Innovations, Research and Development, popularly known as CIRD.
The Centre undertakes innovative practices in teaching-learning process. Researches in the form of minor and major projects are undertaken by the College and individual members of the faculty in collaboration with MHRD, UGC, NCTE & NCERT and at college level also. Print material in the form of monographs based on conferences, workshops and seminars is published and circulated among the teacher education institutions. Research studies completed at M.Ed. level are being compiled in the form of abstracts. Three volumes of abstracts of the research studies completed at M.Ed. level have already been brought out. Fourth & Fifth volumes are under process. The canter has been holding conferences/workshops/seminars on the themes of educational significance like thinking skills, microteaching, and revision of B.Ed. & M.Ed. curriculum. Identification of professional needs of school and supervision: teaching practices etc. The centre has planned to organize book reviews, hold workshops on communicative skills, seminars on women empowerment, mental health awareness: a yogic perspective, and integrating yoga in undergraduate studies in Indian Universities in the ensuing academic session. |
